So...this is the week that Jeffrey gets to spend away at
Camp Woodward.Michael and I drove him and our next door neighbor 4 hours to Tehachapi California on Sunday. For boys like Jeffrey this place is better than Disneyland. They begin their days at 7 am ...clean their cabins and eat breakfast. They get about 3 hours of instruction after that from the trained BMX instructors and get to meet and watch some of the visiting pros. Lunch is in the mess hall around noon ...then off to open biking or instruction or games or camp activities for the rest of the day. So far he is NOT homesick at all and is having a blast. We have emailed him a couple times and sent a card in the mail. He was SO excited to get mail. I think that really helps with him being away at camp. If anyone wants to send him an email....the camp prints them out and delivers it to his cabin as mail. He also would love to get any snail mail...but it would have to be sent probably no later than tomorrow so that he gets it before he goes home on Saturday morning.
