JUNIOR SKI PROGRAM!

One of my most favorite memories from childhood is going up to the Junior Ski Program at Sky Tavern.  Now, that I am older, I get to check off one more reason why we are so so so so thankful to be back in Reno.  I went up with Michael and the kids this weekend.  Michael is a volunteer, the girls are learning how to ski, and Jeffrey is getting more instruction in snowboarding.  Despite the fact that I am not properly suited for cold weather (no water proof pants) like everyone else I loved watching them learn, struggle, try something new, and have fun.  Seeing the girls all bundled up reminds me of a scene out of A Christmas Story.  I love watching their scrunched little cold faces smile back at me as they do their best not to snow plow into other skiers.
