In the past few days we have dyed eggs, set up our Easter village, got our Easter outfits ready and finally........it's here! Easter was great today. I was awakened to Ellie's voice screaming downstairs, "YOU GUYS!!!!! THERE ARE EASTER EGGS ALL OVER THE BACKYARD"!!!!! It was awesome. I think one of my favorite things about my kids is their innocence and belief in make believe things is just as passionate as the things that really matter. They can believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny and it makes me giggle and warms my heart; it completely melts my heart, however, to hear their understanding of the true meanings of Christmas and Easter.
I feel so blessed that when I ask them why we celebrate these holidays they confidently answer...."because it's the day Jesus was born" or "Jesus died on the cross for us and Easter is the day that He was brought back to life". There are hardly words to explain how loved I feel by God that His love for my children goes beyond what I could ever imagine. He is watching out for them, taking care of them, guiding them and protecting them. God expects me to do my part and make sure they know who HE is and HE takes care of the rest. I love that!!!

Sigh, I mean chef. As soon as I clicked "post" I fell asleep. Although, I haven't tried "chegging" maybe I would be great at that.
